History of ANZOS Conferences

The Australian and New Zealand Optical Society Conference

Since its inception, ANZOS has held an annual conference, sometimes solely under the AOS banner, sometimes under the ACOLS banner, sometimes as part of the Australian Institute of Physics Congress, and sometimes in conjunction with the Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology (ACOFT). In recent times the Society has used the title ANZCOP (Australian and New Zealand Conference on Optics and Photonics) to indicate conferences that include all areas of optics.

Upcoming ANZOS meetings

We are thrilled to announce that ANZCOP21 is running in online mode on November 18-19, 2021!

ANZCOP2022 will take place in Adelaide 11-16 December 2022, co-located with the Australian Institute of Physics Congress and the Workshop on Specialty Optical Fibres.

Organisation

Each ANZOS conference has its own organising committee and Chair, as determined by the Council.

Frew Fellow

The Frew Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science has a longstanding association with the ACOLS series and more recently with ANZCOP.
